I tried to change the theme like 4 times before I realized this was a joke. I have been bamboozled.

Hmm, it should actually work, though it is a joke...
Themes are a bit broken right now, lemme check out what's going on.

Any reason you guys did the site from scratch instead of making an add-on module or hacking up one of the mature message board systems?

Well, Jeff would probably be best at answering this one, but for me, I wanted to learn how to build things, not just use them. I have a real job at a big corporation, and being able to innovate and build things yourself is a huge plus. I can work on things at the office, figure it out, and apply it to RH when I get home. Perfect example is the Google Maps integration.
Also, because we built it ourselves, we can easily make improvements since we know how everything works. If you want a new feature, we can make it work. Messing with someone else's source code is not only confusing, but sometimes a huge undertaking.
Good question though, do you have coding background? Just curious, most people wouldn't have asked that, heh.

I used to code, haven't done anything major in the last three years and I've hosted forums for various groups. I usually just grabbed Drupal code or something like that and just added modules to it to make it work like I want.
The color theming idea is a valid feature request, but in the grand scheme of things there are a lot of other things that I'd put first as far as features go.

So, after pushing out the new update with the Google Maps, seems I broke it. Oh well, you win this time Adrian!!
