I think we as rollerbladers are developing a cultural identity, but I wouldn't say that we have our own identity yet. I see the predominant culture in rollerblading still dependent on skateboarding for identification, with some influence from other cultures such as hip-hop and punk.

Drawing influence from other cultures is fine, but I believe that we as rollerbladers need to do something original before we can call the identity of rollerblading our own. Then our culture will spread like The Plague......muhuHuHaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!

I think rollerblading is where I express my views in general, but doesn't necessarily influence them. Does that make sense? Skating is the vessel not the journey. Just my $0.02
