I think we as rollerbladers are developing a cultural identity, but I wouldn't say that we have our own identity yet. I see the predominant culture in rollerblading still dependent on skateboarding for identification, with some influence from other cultures such as hip-hop and punk.

Drawing influence from other cultures is fine, but I believe that we as rollerbladers need to do something original before we can call the identity of rollerblading our own. Then our culture will spread like The Plague......muhuHuHaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!

I think rollerblading is where I express my views in general, but doesn't necessarily influence them. Does that make sense? Skating is the vessel not the journey. Just my $0.02

What is Rollerhome All About?

We love rollerblading and like many of you, we live on the web. There are a lot of places where rollerblading and the web mix, but over the years we realized something was missing. Most of the websites are just blogs with a forum, which is fine if that's all you want, but there's so much more that can be done.

Rollerhome was designed to give you everything you could ask for in a rollerblading community. We've been doing this stuff since before Google registered google.com. Yeah, that long. We've seen what works and what doesn't, what people want and what they don't want.

We want this to be your site, your home online. If you have any suggestions on how we can make it better, please let us know in the forums.
