- In case you missed it, Valo put up Jon Julio's section from We Are Valo 2 for everyone to check out. It's a great section and a DVD worth picking up. Check it out.

- Agreed. Jon is, as always, the man. Some of the best visual effects of any video.

- Jon still kills it. I'm a noob on the history of rollerblading so can anyone tell me the tricks that Jon Julio invented?

- I'm fairly sure he invented or at least refined the fahrvergnugen (otherwise known as a farfig or full torque)... He's the one that made topside tricks stylish imho and really made the fishbrain a reality on street whereas it was mostly a vert trick from Tom Fry's days before...
Jon Julio has done it all. He helped create the first after market frame company Fifty-50, did a lot for USD, created the IMYTA, ran the short lived Dyna wheel company, helped Jess D with the England clothing company, ran a Runners Project (an unfortunately short-lived backpack company that was way ahead of its time), started the Sifika shoe company, started the Valo skate company and even experimented online with headcaselife (no longer around). Yah.. Respect.

- So, I might be wrong, but Jon didn't invent a ton of tricks. He was the first person I remember seeing doing the rolling tricks, wheelbarrows and training wheels, and was possibly the inventor of the sidewalk, but I don't want to hold that against him. =)
Jeff is right, he's been the single person to make tricks look good. Fishbrains were a vert trick, maybe even rails, but Jon did the impossible by bringing them to ledges. Farfigs were invented by Robert Leivanos as far as I know, but it took Julio and his slippery 5th elements to make them cool.
I've got a bunch of old footage I want to digitize that nobody has seen, including the NISS competition from SF in 1995 (my run included, ugh).
@Patrick: awesome avatar =)
