49 year old grandfather who likes to skate over anything in his path. Switched over from quad roller skates (used to do ramps on them) to blades in April 07. Started out on a pair of Oxygen AR's I picked up in a thrift store. Old school yes, but very heavy duty. I'm 6'5", 260 pounds (been lifting weights since my teens) so I needed something that would stand up. They did the trick for me to learn on. Found a new unused pair of Roces Khuti's (never even been tried on, the laces weren't even put in them) on eBay. Size 14, fit my long narrow feet perfectly. They're not UFS, but they have flat wide soles so I can hopefully learn some basic grinds.

I'm well known on skatelog.com, and was the former webmaster of quadskating.com. My comments are sometimes viewed as controversial. I don't take unwarranted dissing or putdowns, so don't bother because I'll just throw it back in your face. But I'm actually a nice guy who likes to skate and share ideas and thoughts about the sport.
