Sunnyvale Skate Park
-
Sunnyvale Skate Park is a great place to spend a few hours on the weekend. The lines are nice and mellow but challenging if you want. Never super crowded so it's nice to hit any time of the day. Some nice bowls, and coping. Pads are required but nobody ever checks really.

Silvercreek High School
-
Silvercreek High School is legendary in the Norcal skating scene. The rails here are fat and beefy which makes them less intimidating if you're just learning and a little change for anyone comfortable with rails. There are benches and little ledges everywhere which present some fun lines. Some transitions with ramps leaning to the rails which are fun to play on. I've spent many a Saturday skating here, taking a break for lunch going to the Wendy's up the street and then coming back to finish the day. If you're visiting Norcal for the first time you have to stop by this spot.

I used to skate this high school with Justin Hertel back in the days. There's a lot of little creative things, rails, ledges and wallrides, but nothing really great.

Lincoln High School

It's a nice spot to skate for sure especially on weekends. Nice handrails (kinked and non) with good approaches and smooth landings. Long easy session ledges and then some high ones to test your skills with. You'll keep yourself entertained for sure. The front area (not shown) has some sick gaps and ledges Shima has worked them out before, but be careful b/c you will get broke-off, son!
If you are in the city take the MUNI - L-Taraval train and get off at 24th Street, Walk up the hill and you're there.

Santa Clara Skatepark
-
"Skate Park is located at the corner of Cabrillo Avenue and San Tomas Expressway. Use of the Skate Park is restricted to City of Santa Clara residents and Santa Clara Unified School District students only. The 16,000 square foot park is safe enough for public use yet is challenging enough for experienced skaters. Park features, such as rails, curbs, and bowls have been constructed to accommodate all levels of ability."
It's a good skate park, but unless you have a Santa Clara resident with you or someone at the park says they're you're friend you can't skate there!

Homestead is fun but you usually get kicked out real fast and you need to hop a fence to get in, which sucks. Some good ledges and gaps, few transitions and creative stuff.

Alameda Skate Park

I really enjoy skating this park. The lines are good and there's a lot of cool hips to hit. don't come here if you're expecting to grind, there's not a ton of stuff aside from coping which is pretty low. Need to wear helmet but that's it.

Open Ground Skatepark

The park has a good flow, lots of good tranfers and gaps. Nice wood park made by bikers(Gabe Weed) for bikers. Its all good though the transitions are not that small skateboarding type that most parks are now-a-days. Everything is big enough to make it a good challenge for skaters. The park features a pink pair of rollerblades which Fabiola skated a tour with.

The brand new 24,000 square foot Skate Park at Mount Trashmore District Park is open for public use. Even though all of the site construction is not complete, the park is ready and safe for use. Final grading and the installation of sod and fencing should be completed within the next two weeks. This is a double set of red handicap rails. Very reasonable hight just below the waist, and very long. There are four rails in total, two double sets for transfers. It's in a relatively public area, but if you go in the evening, there are no problems. These are probably the best handicaps in Gainesville.

UNR Brown Rectangle Rails
-
Long Square/Rectangle rails on both sides. Sloped like a handicap rail with grass on the other sides. The run way has brick(the red squares in the middle of the walk way) but it doesnt get in the way too much. Students sit and watch sometimes, have not been kicked out of this spot for a few years skating for hours at a time. UNR can get pretty shitty when dealing with cops.
Down the way are some crazy kinked rails in Them Apples.

Theres 3 stairsets with rails (square) and 2 handicap ramps; one's about 14 feet long, the other about 3 feet long, both have handrails on either side. multiple benches to grind, shin-high skate rails (round or square) and a couple ledges that kick some ass. one is about 10 feet long, about a foot high.. the other is a 22 foot ledge approx. starts with 3 feet straight then angles 45 degrees and straight the rest of the length. good for learning switch-ups or just riding it out.
